To show once again how meaningless it is. Right now the Sun Belt is 3-1 in bowls. If Arkansas State beats Nevada and they go 4-1, it will be almost impossible for any other conferecne to beat that (I am assuming they go by win%). And their best win would be over ???

Between bowl games being "meaningless" to the entire free world - players, coaches, staff members, fans, universities and "nobody cares about Pitt" there are certainly a shit ton of threads that discuss both.
I agree with psualt, if they are so darn meaningless (bowl games) and nobody cares (about Pitt), why post about them? Why open threads about them? Why not stay away from this board until the last bowl is over?
As a HS football coach and college football fan, I can't get enough of the game of football. I have a notepad next to me when watching games to write down plays of interest.
Too many follow the above two items so they have something to bitch about. IMO, that's not a fun life.
Sorry for the rant, but this shit gets old. And, yes, I am fully aware that I didn't need to post a reply if I am tired of this being discussed. It's my first reply aside from discussing a confidence pool I am in.

I meant the silly bowl championship trophy they hand out. It was meaningless when they gave it to the BigEast many years ago, and it was meaningless to the Big10 when it was given out last year. I get tired of the ESPN talking heads showing the standings at every game and saying the best conference, the SEC, has yet to play the bulk of their games. If the SBC wins it, which they will with an Ark State win today, and you will hear nothing but crickets the rest of the way with respect to the trophy.
