The coffee is brewing... I'm up after binge-watching the entire first season of Home Improvement. Now I gotta search for an illegal way to stream CNBC or whatever station is airing today's matches because my household is cheap and we get like 10 freaking channels.

IT'S TIME TO GO GRECO! WOO!

Bisek has a rough half. He should be favored first round. Second round, he'll see last year's 80KG World Champ. Winner of that match likely gets the winner of #1 Vlasov and #2 Kim, who meet in the first round. Bisek is a greco success story. My mustache has never been longer.
Thielke has a winnable first round before running into Bayramov of AZE in the second round. Sorian from Iran also on his side. I got the chance to chat with Thielke at Kids Natl's, this summer. He's really as "out there" as his interviews make you believe he is. Some of the rebuttals he had for youth wrestlers asking him things were humorous and baffling. I love the style he brings to the sport.

Not the greatest draws, but it is the pinnacle of the world's oldest and greatest sport. Time to get excited! I figured we could keep a thread dedicated to the entire Games' worth of tournaments.

USA! USA! USA!

Sourian goes down in round 1. Thielke wins 8-0. BBC has only Mat B (the one with none of the fun matches, so far). Ugh.

Where can I find a specific schedule to find the Anerican wrestlers? I have the "blocks" but can't find the order of wrestling or match schedule. I got to see those two matches ( Bisek was on mat C). Thanks in advance.
Trackwrestling is doing some live bracketing/dashboard like they do for most tournaments. Flo is doing the same, I believe.
I've been using https://arena.unitedworldwrestling.org/sport-event/show/b452aa7f-42be-11e6-8e79-0050569b5d53/live to see what matches will be on what mats.

Bisek wins. Listening to English announcers is definitely culturing... Almost would rather have Gibbons/Johnson.

working on my end. I am using link 1. Also I didn't disable AdBlock.

Bisek, by the world rankings is favored in his next bout. Thielke has world #2.

EDIT: Both lost their 2nd bout.

The link claimed that CNBC would be running it live, however, on my dish, CNBC is not even currently running the olympic coverage.

Croatian beats Bisek. Couldn't get his offense going, and it didn't help that they stopped the match for a good 2min because of sweat on the mat... Never seen that before.
Croatian has Vlasov world #1 next round. Not a good spot for Bisek.

Starcevic loses a 6-3 bout to Vlasov with a shotty call. Bisek is eliminated.

The worst part is that Madsen won't try anything on his feet and he'll probably lose to Vlasov.

I don't count myself as a follower of Greco or Freestyle, but if the 59kg Greco class is any indication of how "anything can happen" at this event, I'm looking forward to seeing what our guys do in Freestyle.
