Do you know where PSU is after today's announced transfers for open scholarships for the 2016 class?

We can take 21 as of today. I guess I should edit and say as of right now, because by EOD we may have more spots.

I've got us at 81 if all commits stay with us and "ALL" 5th year guys don't come back. We know that won't happen. Can get to 25 pretty easily now.

3 QB - Zembiec, Stevens and McSorley
7 RB - Barkley, Lynch, Scott, Allen, Thomas, Robinson and Sanders
5 TE - Wilkerson, Gesicki, Holland, Bowers and Dalton
7 WR - Godwin, Hamilton, Blacknell, Polk, Thompkins, Johnson and Charles
3 C - Laurent, Bates and McGovern
6 G - Mahon, Dowrey, Gaia, Wright, Gonzalez and Sorrell
8 T - Palmer, Nelson, Beh, Brosnan, Jenkins, Menet, Fries and Gellerstadt

2 P/K Nordin and Gilliken

7 DT - Cothren, White, Buchholz, Windsor, Carter, Dwumfour and Jordan
8 DE - Sickels, Brown, Cothran, Schwan, Miller, Givens, Simmons and Joseph
8 LB - Wartman, Bell, Cabinda, Cooper, Bowen, V. Walker, Toney cnd C Brown
8 CB - Reid, Haley, Campbell, Oruwariye, G. Taylor, A. Smith, J. Smith and McPhearson
8 S - Allen, Golden, Apke, Farmer, Miller, Monroe, Petrishen and Pryts

Wooten and Kiley haven't officially said they aren't coming back but A.Smith has, so I have it at 82, until further announcement.

Thanks. I believe you mean if all the 5th year guys that have not announced anything DO come back. So that's a class of 22. 18 + 4.

That looks pretty solid, but we could see another surprise, or maybe up to 3 to get to a 25 recruit class for 2016. I personally would like to see the 5th year OL kids come back. Laurent is an experienced Center that can play guard and he would allow CJF to possibly redshirt McGovern. I know McGovern was told to be read to play, and that he likely would play. We'll see.

We are light at OG, with just Mahon having experience other than the 2 5th year kids. Wright is a big guy and I'd love to see him develop and surprise us by grabbing a starting job this spring. He's a year older having spend a year at prep school as well. But with just 6 Guards (I know Beh and other could play there in a pinch), and potential injuries, we don't have an abundance of bodies there without the 5th year kids, regardless of whether or not they don't start. i.e. if they are willing to come back and compete and potentially be reserves as the grad transfer was last year. With more kids in you chart at OT, I would not be surprised if Menet goes to Guard and plays as a true frosh. Lots of competition on the OL this spring and fall to see who starts/plays next year.

Golden is an athletic kid and did OK as a starter, and will compete with Apke (and maybe Monroe, Petrishen and Farmer) for the 1st game starting spot. I hope he comes back.

Walker adds a nice experienced LB and special teams player, although I never heard if his scholarship is being renewed for his 5th year.

It will likely be an interesting next 3 week.....
