Am I wrong to be a little nervous about Hidley? The kid is seriously good. Seems like Pantaleo 2.0.

It's insane the talent we have that we had no room for the Hidley brothers (an observation, not a complaint).

It’s ok to be a little nervous. Hidlay is indeed good. Fans are bitching about not having a Nolf/Kemerer final but in my opinion, these are the two best wrestlers at the weight.

I'm nervous only because of Nolf's knee issues. With healthy wheels, Nolf beats Hidlay like he does everyone else in the bracket. On a bum leg? I still think Nolf wins a decision, but we're going to see soon enough.

He's tough, but he did have some squeakers in the round of 16 and quarters and he hasn't wrestled a guy like Nolf yet.

For those who are interested, WrestleStat has Nolf in a 12-4 major... just throwing that out there.

Again, wrestlestat (for the most part) doesn't consider that Nolf's in a big brace and that his knee might be killing him. Just saying and I still think Nolf wins in a 3-7 point match. And, as an editorial aside, I'd hate to see Nolf take a risk for this one match, but on the other hand I'd love to see him come out with no brace tonight and would probably be more confident of a major decision if I thought he had full mobility and limited swelling and pain.

I watched (in person) Hidlay lose two times to Mason Manville a short two years ago. I don't believe he has closed the gap on Nolf.

Nolf is 100%! He treated M. Jordan like a rag doll. He is back. Hidlay is good and dangerous but Nolf is a notch above his competitors. Hidlay should have been seeded #3. Nuts....

Nolf’s 2 countershots were lightning quick. He must be feeling pretty good

I just caught a glimpse of Hidlay but he looks like he is built like an OSU guy.
Impressive physique*. He handled Pantaleo, a tough cookie himself, pretty solidly I think.
I am worried as always.

* Has Nolf ever faced an impressive OSU type physique before!

Hidlay at #1 was okay. Nolf at #3 was okay, as "punishment" for the MFF at B1Gs. However, putting Kemerer at #6 was beyond stupid, when there was plenty of justification to put him at #4 or #5, and thus avoid the quarterfinal matchup with Nolf. Those two should have been on opposite sides of the bracket. Stupid, but at this point it is what it is.

Ryan was on the committee, say no more

It is so impressive how Nolf has modified his wrestling style due to the knee. He has became a rider and a very effective one at that.
Not disputing you, but last night's power half show probably had more to do with the opponent than Jason's injury. All the buck nuts have bottom issues, but Micah's take the cake.

You would think a good coach would be able to help Micah improve from the bottom after 4 years
