Over the weekend, reading a Phila Inq, piece on the operating troubles of local schools in terms of enrollment and operating income; the article provided a chart showing Dept of Educ. projections for HS enrollment throughout the US and included projections for Pa and NJ.
Nationally: + 11.2% through 2022 ( as I recall)
Pa: - 7+%
NJ: -5+%
that has implications for a lot of things, including, it seems to me, local football recruiting.
Texas is now 27mm+; Fla is what 18mm+
When I was a child ( quite a # of yrs ago), Pa was maybe 9 mmor so ( may well be wrong on that)--now 12mm or so.
Just a thought.
