Below is a recap on how Penn State's Class of 2016 prospects and their teams faired this past weekend in their respective state's playoffs.

OL Alex Gellerstedt, DT Ellison Jordan, DL Daniel Joseph and DB Zechariah McPhearson all finished their seasons last week.


OFFENSE


TE Danny Dalton - FILM - Marshfield, Mass. - Marshfield

With John Donovan in attendance, Dalton pulled in three receptions for 28 yards and two touchdowns in Marshfield's 43-0 win over Needham in the Division 2 South Sectional Championship. They'll now advance to Massachusetts' Division 2 semifinals, where they'll take on Reading Memorial on Saturday. Marshfield remains undefeated on the year, 10-0.


OL Will Fries - FILM - Cranford, N.J. - Cranford

Fries and his Cranford teammates defeated Voorhees, 56-7, in the first round of the NJSIAA North 2 Group 3 playoffs. They'll now take on Ridgefield Park in the semifinals on Friday. Cranford remains undefeated on the year, 10-0.


OL Connor McGovern - FILM - Lehman, Pa. - Lake Lehman

McGovern and Lake-Lehman defeated Lakeland, 35-8, in the first round of the PIAA District 2 AA playoffs. They'll now take on Dunmore on Friday. Lake-Lehman is now 10-1 on the year.


OL Michal Menet - FILM - Reading, Pa. - Exeter Township

Menet and Exeter Township defeated Cedar Crest, 46-0, in the first round of the PIAA District 3 AAAA playoffs. They'll now take on Cumberland Valley this Friday. Exeter Township remains undefeated on the year, 11-0.

Miles Sanders - FILM - Pittsburgh, Pa. - Woodland Hills

Sanders racked up 172 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 20 carries in Woodland Hills' 40-20 win over Bethel Park. Two of his scores came on rushes of 33 and 50 yards. Woodland Hills, who remains undefeated at 11-0, will now face PSU targets CB Damar Hamlin, LB David Adams, OL CJ Thorpe and Central Catholic in the WPIAL AAAA semifinals on Friday.

For the season, Sanders has now totaled 1,410 yards rushing on 116 carries. He's averaging 12.1 yards per carry.

Jake Zembiec - FILM - Rochester, N.Y. - Aquinas Institute

Zembiec completed 15 of 21 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns in Aquinas Institute's 42-7 win over Orchard Park in the quarterfinals of the NYSPHSAA Class AA state playoffs. They'll now face Liverpool in the semifinals on Saturday. Aquinas remains undefeated on the year, 11-0.

For the season, Zembiec has completed 146 of 217 pass attempts - 67.2% completion rate - for 2,285 yards, 31 touchdowns and five interceptions.


DEFENSE


LB Cameron Brown - FILM - Potomac, Md. - Bullis School

Brown sprained his MCL two weeks ago, ending his season, but Bullis finished the year with a 5-5 record, defeating Georgetown Prep, 19-16. In six games, Brown had 60 tackles, two pass breakups and one interception playing linebacker and defensive end. He also totaled 19 receptions, 352 yards and six touchdowns playing tight end.


DT Karamo Dioubate - FILM - Philadelphia, Pa. - Prep Charter

Dioubate and Prep Charter were upset by Delaware Valley Charter, 36-7, in the Philadelphia Public League AA Championship. They finished the regular season with a 5-3 record, but they do have one game remaining, which is their annual rivalry game against Frankford on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.


DT Michael Dwumfour - FILM - Wayne, N.J. - De Paul Catholic

No. 7 seed DePaul Catholic upset No. 2 seed Camden Catholic, 40-13, in the first round of the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 3 playoffs on Friday. Dwumfour had 3 tackles for loss. They'll now take on No. 3 seed Delbarton. DePaul Catholic improved to 4-6 on the year.

Lavert Hill - FILM - Detroit, Mich. - Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King continues its run in the MHSAA Division 2 playoffs, defeating East English Village Prep, 26-12. They now advance to the semifinals, where they'll take on Franklin on Saturday. Because of that, Hill will no longer be able to take an official visit to Penn State this upcoming weekend. MLK remains undefeated on the year, 12-0.


DB Andrew Pryts - FILM - Hermitage, Pa. - Hickory

Hickory defeated North East, 41-8, in the first round of the PIAA District 10 Class AA playoffs Saturday. Playing wide receiver, Pryts had three receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. He also had one rush for 11 yards and a touchdown, while totaling 15 tackles on defense. Hickory will face Fairview in the next round on Saturday. They're 10-1 on the year.


DE Shane Simmons - FILM - Hyattsville, Md. - DeMatha

DeMatha defeated St. John's College High, 42-21, in the semifinals of the WCAC playoffs. They'll now take on Good Counsel in the championship game on Saturday. The Stags are now 10-1 on the year.


DE Shaka Toney - FILM - Philadelphia, Pa. - Imhotep Charter School

Imhotep Charter had a huge win against Dobbins, 70-0, in the semifinals of the Philadelphia Public League Class AAA playoffs. Despite sitting the majority of the game, Toney still managed to record five tackles and 1.5 sacks. Imhotep will now face West Philadelphia in the championship game on Saturday, which means Toney will no longer be able to attend the game against Michigan.


SPECIAL TEAMS


P Blake Gillikin - FILM - Atlanta, Ga. - Westminster

Westminster defeated Southeast Bulloch, 31-7, Friday night in the first round of the GHSA AAA playoffs. They'll now face Callaway this upcoming weekend. The Wildcats are now 7-4 on the year.


K Quinn Nordin - Rockford, Mich. - Rockford

Rockford made it all the way to the MHSAA Division 1 quarterfinals, but lost to Grand Ledge on Friday, 36-16. They finished the year with an 8-4 record.
