Penn State announced today that the Homecoming celebration will be October 5 through 11 and the Homecoming game will be on Saturday Oct 11 versus Northwestern.

No real surprise though - this was the only game that makes sense. Indiana on Nov 8 is a bit too late and they don't like September dates because it is too early in the school years to prepare everything. Maybe one of these years we will go back to having more than 1 home game in October.
