Hackenberg showed leadership as did Mauti in 2012, in being honest and adult when adults around them were fake. Today he became a man.

When "looking good" everything, and honesty nothing, we are corrupting the morals of youth.

Hackenberg showed integrity.

Once upon a time there was the most horrible scandal. It occurred because of idolatry: valuing reputation over truth and morals. Nothing could be said that would detract from the "perfect image" of Happy Valley's Golden Calf football icons.

A child molester "resigned," and in lock-step everyone said he was leaving to devote himself to more involvement with children. Paterno wrote letters promoting him, despite knowing better, and allowed him to continue showering at facilities using the university's prestige to sexually abuse. People could only say positive things about him in our culture of promotion.

Idolatrous fans care only of egos, and positive identification with football. Childish egos cannot handle people not promoting Franklin's ego, as it threatens their own. Franklin deceives and is corrupt.
