UPDATED 9:21 pm.: Dixon is no longer expected to make the trip.
Penn State head coach Patrick Chambers and the Nittany Lions have a visit weekend lined up for the Blue-White Game, same as football.
The difference?
Hoops is going with a smaller approach. The Nittany Lions will host just two visitors this weekend:
Illinois forward Michael Finke and Chattanooga guard Nat Dixon.
Both grad transfers, Finke will be coming off reported visits to Stanford, Nevada and Grand Canyon as he travels to State College this weekend, then will wrap his visit schedule with a trip to Vanderbilt. Dixon, meanwhile, has already visited Wake Forest, with visits to Penn State and Ole Miss still on tap.
Finke averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 25 minutes during his junior season at Illinois last year. Dixon, meanwhile, led Chattanooga in scoring with 13.8 points per game with a team-high 39.5 clip from beyond-the-arc.
Meanwhile, a third grad transfer prospect will still be out there that Penn State is currently working on landing a visit from. I expect that visit to happen, as Penn State feels good about its initial interactions with Cremo, though the dates still need to be worked out.
