As much as I wanted the win...if you had handed me a contract in August that read 11-3 and Rose Bowl on it I would have signed in a New York minute...college football has been served notice....WE ARE!

No doubt about it. Preseason I was figuring 8-4. After the UM game I was prepared for the worst. Never saw it coming, what a ride.
My general attitude after winning the Big Ten championship was
- it would have been great to get into the playoff....
- didn't lose any sleep over not getting in
- Rose Bowl vs. USC is icing on the cake and well earned reward for these players and coaches.
- Given the quality of the game and how PSU went toe to toe against a team most had as good as any right now , I think PSU quieted any skepticism as to what this team was really about and how good they were. It really was a great springboard into the off season whether we won that game on last second FG or lost it. Looking at what's coming back these guys are going to be amped and more motivated than ever.

We gave money back in the end. We could have, and should have, won more. It was in our hands and we lost it.
