How are Paris Palmer and Sterling Jenkins transitioning this summer?

Good find Knocker....

In general, I avoid that left wing commie newspaper, the one I delivered door to door as a kid, but I make certain exceptions.....

That Audrey Snyder does a nice job covering the team. She's a good follow on Twitter.

Wow Jenkins put on 45 pounds. He's going to be a beast.

Sounds like he's loading up on Peachy Paterno ice cream and grilled stickies. Seriously, how can anybody gain 45 lbs in 6 months? Can it all be muscle?

I think Jenkins is at least two years away, as it should be. (for the vast majority of OL a minimum of 2-3 years in a program is necessary to be truly ready, hopefully we will see some of the 2 year development from our OL this year).
Palmer is the guy of concern, it sounds as though he will be ready !!!

If a 6' kid 170 lb kid can gain 15, then Sterling can gain 45. His surface area and original volume were 3 times that of the 6' kid. He has a HUGE frame, and like Paris, you may not even notice 25 lbs.

He could eat 20 lbs in one sitting.....

I made my point.....

The pictures of Paris struck me not that he had gained much weight, but that his arms and shoulders are starting to look like an OLineman. By the time Paris goes to the NFL combine in early 2017 he will probably be 335+. He's taller than Sterling, but I don't think he had as big a frame.

Twenty percent body fat; that's high for a football athlete. I'm only sixteen percent and I'm not an athlete.

I've got a sad bit of news for you. You're not 16%. Unless of course, you've been tested via bod pod or under water immersion. You can typically add @ 6-8% to the standard measurements most people have access to, sometimes more. Calipers and Bio-electrical impedance suck in terms of accuracy.

This coach seems to be one step ahead of all this boards collective minds together. We need DT's .... okay, I'll sign three in a week. We need a kicker and punter..okay, we just signed the two best. This is one very cool, collective and impressive coach. Excuse me while I knock on wood :)

He didn't just "sign" anyone. Signing day is the first Wednesday in February.

He is somewhat late in addressing DT depth due to missing out on recruits the last two classes, but he is definitely addressing the DT, OL and kicking positions so far in the 2016 class. By this time next week he may have a good start in addressing depth at LB as well

Good news for both. I think Palmer will be fine pass-blocking if he picks up our schemes. I hope to be chucking the ball all over with our stud qb and receivers. Running game only has to be above-average

There's a picture of Jenkins on Twitter this morning working out with team and a bunch of Marines. He defintely does not look fat.

Better tell Franklin. That's not what he says.

I just do not want to rush Jenkins. I think he will be special given the 2-3 years of development before playing. Much will be about balance and footwork.

my son and I were at the lift for life. Jenkins is going to be a star. I got a picture of him and my son. He said he was up to 330 lbs or so. I bet he could probably could put on another 15 to 20 lbs. he said he is going to redshirt this year.
