During this heat wave, we are suppose to check on our senior friends and neighbors. So how are are you doing?

[ I graduated in ‘69. I am old. My wife likes to keep the house at 70. Iam doing alright here. I have my sweater on. ]

We are at Hershey Park camping. There are 2 AC units on the RV, and the master bedroom took a crapper on the way up so we were down to one unit for the night. Not ideal at 10pm and 88 degrees, but I noticed the kids had cranked open all the windows.
I HATE water parks and swore I would never enter another one after my experience 7 years ago. Wife woke up thhis morning and said, "we have to suck it up and do the water park."
I had biz phone call today at 14:00 and the other party was running 30 minutes late. I hit the ceiling of the rear AC and miracles happened and the compressor turned on.

Besides that, I am drinking heavily.

Thanking the powers that be that it finally stopped raining and we've had a few nice weekends.

Never got as hot as predicted here. Somewhat unexpected storms rolled in, which has been our weather storyline for pretty much all spring and now summer. Temps mostly in the 70’s today. Vegetation remains lush.

Was hot here in central Pa, but the humidity stayed pretty well in check- around 50/53 or so, so not too bad.

Honestly never minded heat so much, but whine like a a spoiled, pampered kid in the cold.

Hand digging thirty-six inch post holes, about ten of them. The kids were doing other stuff. I never ask my employees to do something I wouldn't do. Plus it's good for me, being in my sixties and all.

You do know that Home Depot rents these things called "gas powered augers" don't you?:) 10 holes would have taken 10 minutes.

We traded heat for heat. Travelled up from DFW to Avalon . Hot in Texas....hot here in Avalon. Not quite as warm here in Avalon....but not too far behind. Of course, Texas will stay very hot thru September.....but having a blast seeing east coast friends here and having a drink...or two...or three...

I live in one of the world's most beautiful places, Traverse City, Michigan. That being said, it is too cold here for much of the year. It is nice and hot right now, and I'm not going to complain about it! I do have air conditioning. ;)

Like a champ. The heat doesn’t bother me. I run circles around these dudes all day long. I hate winter so I’ll take what I can get.

I did however pull a muscle in my back today and now my legs are cramping. I’ve probably downed 3 gallons of water today too.

You and "Lou Anna" are summertime neighbors :)

Do you ever see her?

Luckily, I haven't seen her. I never knew that she had made this town her new home, until recently. This was once a great place, but it is now being infested by the likes of her, and others of her ilk.

We had our requalification range this morning. We typically alternate between shooting outdoors and inside at HACC’s range. Today was outdoors and it was an absolutely miserable four hours.

to say nothing about the eye candy at the beach. ;)

how are the waves this week?
Hey Tom.....it has been flat as a mill pond this week with no real waves to speak of. The "view" at the beach has been amazing ( I will drop a flag on myself). The swim suits this season have been a competition of who can show the most " junk in their trunk". The operative word should be " Thong". I have tried to be discreet behind my shades....but my wife busted me several times yesterday for staring....oh well.

Not a problem. I went for a 4 mile run (high 80's and heat index near 100). Given the choice, I will take 95 instead of 25 any day (degrees of temperature, not the age of women!).

Digging by hand is like wax on and wax off, Zen on a hot day is good for you. An d it makes me look forward to winter and snow shovels.
I'll be building a patio and retaining wall soon. While I don't mind working in the heat, I'm not sure I would call it zen.

ugh. that's hard to believe, but I looked it up, and it appears that the forecast is for only 1' through Wed, then 1-2' on Thurs through Saturday. That's about as bad as I've ever experienced at the Jersey Shore.

lol, I gave up trying to be discreet. ;) lucky for you that the suits appear to be covering even less. :D

Knowing the Sixers fans are so frustrated because they didn't get LeBron, and Cavs fans are mourning the loss of LeBron, makes it much more tolerable.
