Bates replaces Mangiro? What about Gonzalez? Does he beat out an upperclassmen? Without calling out names, it seems unlikely our offense can show significant improvement with our current linemen.

-----------------
Ryan Bates is a guy that there was a time they considered burning his redshirt. He's done really nice things in 1-on-1. Really nice things in team, competitive periods against AJ and Zettel. Have him working predominantly at center, but is a more natural guard. Creates flexibility for them and leadership. At 297 pounds now, and he's in a position to be big and strong enough to do it.
Steven Gonzalez is carrying same weight, but in a different form. Creates space. Great in double teams. Excited about those two guys. And other guy that has done really nice things is Sterling Jenkins. He's one of most improved guys. A lot of times, guys that are that long aren't that strong in weight room, but he is. His pass sets have really improved. Still needs to be more physical. But is really light on his feet and throws good punch. They've really improved.
Noah Beh has as well. Chance Sorrell. Those guys have taken another step as well. Those guys are exciting for future down the road in terms of depth, size and experience of the offensive line.
