From 2000 through and including the 2021 NCAA Championships (21 seasons), your guess on the following;

% of #1 seeds that won a championship (noted in another thread)?

How many #1 seeds DNP (Did Not Place)?
Plus names, if you know anyc(one was mentioned in another thread):

Guess the % of #1 seeds that finish as an All-American?

Name who I reckon is the only one seed defending champion to lose in round 1. Also an answer to roars #1 who DNP.

For the 21 years noted, there were eight (8) #1 seeds that failed to place. In addition to the answers to the original questions below, here's a few other snippets;

-- Four weight classes saw EVERY #1 seed as an All-American (125, 133, 141, 285), or the lightest three weights and the heaviest weight.
-- 285 saw 14 (the most in any weight class) of the 21 #1 seeds win titles. The next two were 13 each (149 & 174)
-- 197 saw 7 (the least) of the 21 #1 seeds win titles. Next was 125 (8).

From 2000 through and including the 2021 NCAA Championships (21 seasons), your guess on the following;

% of #1 seeds that won a championship (noted in another thread)? 49.5%

How many #1 seeds DNP (Did Not Place)? Eight (8)
Plus names, if you know any (one was mentioned in another thread):
Reggie Wright (2001, 149), Scott Justus (2002 (184), Greg Jones (2003, 174), Alex Tirapelle (2005, 157), Max Askren (2007, 197), Mack Lewnes (2009, 165), Darrion Caldwell (2011, 149), Alex Marinelli (2021, 165).

Guess the % of #1 seeds that finish as an All-American? 96.2%

I’m sorry if I messed this up. It was interesting enough to me that I spent over an hour researching it. I guess that was cheating though.

P.S. note what seeding everyone did. Only 1-seed to not place since seeding everyone mff’d out of the tourney.
