Crack is still widely used by politicians and West Coast Reporters among others.... no mystery.

Honestly the PAC-12 is stronger than the Big 12 right now but (in a related point) the PAC-12 is also far more vulnerable to rapidly losing members because it actually has some valuable programs. Conversely all the good Big 12 programs have already left and they’ve already been filling the gaps with questionable choices so they are more “stable” in that there’s no one likely to get poached.

That said, really the ideal would be the top 6-10 teams in each conference to dissolve the conferences and join up. A ~16-18 team conference made of the best and most valuable Big 12/PAC-12 schools would be fairly decent and reasonably insulated from collapse and would allow them to get rid of the bottom feeders in each conference that don’t really pull their weight.

Like it or not, money moves the needle. Right now, there is the SEC and B1G. Think of the SEC being Ohio State and the SEC being Michigan. Then there is everybody else.

My point is that if the B1G wanted OK State, they'd be in the B1G. Why doesn''t the B1G want OK State? Because there are other larger money-makers to take. If OK State goes to the conference, it means little. It is only a parking place until the B1G wants them, if ever.
