Humor me a bit with a LB corp dream not so far from reality...

We've had some in our history, the group with Lavar Arrington (Brandon Short and the other-Mac Morrison-? who was fundamentally sound), Poz/Conner/?-did N. Bowman ever play with that group?, etc.

With Jacobs and Brooks playing so we, how close were we to seeing Micah Parsons, Brooks, and Jacobs on the field at the same time...wouldn't that have been something? I've felt that was what made some up-and-coming backers just getting playing time like Bowman so much more dangerous, and the group so exciting to watch over the season.

Bowman was after Paul P and Conner but he did overlap with Sean Lee. Bowman and Lee possibly the most freakishly athooletic LB duos PSU has had, tho not the mostest of the modt productive in college or on the banner year teams.

I just remember Bowman just being a big play waiting to happen, as well as his being available to every team in the draft not just once but multiple times...didn't he go in the third round? I think some incidents in college and his weight may have been concerns, but definitely a big whiff my teams that could have used a middle LB, including my own Steelers.

The way Jacobs got manhandled by Iowa last year leads me to think that his PT would've been even less if Micah had returned. Sometimes humiliating moments inspire kids to later greatness (ref Sam Ficken, Mike G, plenty of others). Seems to be the case here too.
