Just saw pics on the weather channel of the highway to Sanibel (I think?) and it’s just obliterated. A 4 lane highway is just gone and will need a complete rebuild from the foundation up. It’s apparently the only way on or off the island.

My sister lives in Cape Coral, she's waiting for bridge inspections to be completed to check on her home.

House OK?
Depends on the definition of OK. I have a condo. My unit seems OK but mold can become a huge problem if power isn't restored soon. Extensive tree & landscape damage. Roof tiles missing. Some rooftop a/c units damaged.

That really sucks too. You can at least drive your vehicle out of harms way. Neither would have been left behind if it was me.

You don't leave a 1.5 million dollar car parked at sea level with a cat 5 coming. You've got options when you've got that kinda money. Hell pay the local pepboys general manager 5 grand to leave it on their lift. Dude bought it a week ago. His new Rolls got washed away too.

Why the hell did he not do something with them especially if they are that new? Like you said you’ve got options.
Was that area originally not to get hit as hard is that why he did nothing? It’s not like the storm just popped up out of nowhere.

I'm sure the insurance company will be thrilled with that auto claim.

If that's the same one I saw, it was just mind-boggling. Can't even imagine being in something that powerful

That meets anyone's definition of 'OK' after a hurricane.
