Well I just got hired as the AAD in charge of the ASWP rivalry. Wonder which of us will have more to do.

Oh man, you have the tougher job because the Rutgers Rivalry is already BIG and nationally recognized. Still, I'm not just going to sit around and do nothing. I've got lots of great ideas. For example, I'm thinking of playing Rutgers 3 times a year in football, 2 home and 1 away.

Since that's a full time job, I suppose you won't have time to help Neal Huntington any more. :)
Geeze, I hadn't thought of that. Ah, no problem. The Bucs are on cruise control to the World Series for most of the next decade. Besides, Sandy says I can name as many as a dozen "assistant assistant" AD's so I'll have lots of help.:)

You got the good job. I was offered 'Penn State assistant athletic director in charge of assistant athletic director hiring for assistant assistant athletic directors'. ;)

REALLY? hope you get that job. It'd be a pleasure to work with you. I was offered the Penn State Associate assistant athletic director in charge of assistant athletic director hiring for assistant assistant athletic directors

Seems like a good gig.

Yow, my head hurts.

I envy all you successful assistants. I have completed my Masters Assistants degree and didn't even get an interview for any of these jobs.

Not sure if it made much of a difference, but I did wear my lucky bow-tie to the interview.

I just recently applied for the Assistant in charge of making Pitt a permanent yearly opponent but was told I made that position up because that is not a position and there are no plans to make it one. I might have to borrow someone's lucky bowtie.

How many Assistant to the Assistant AD's do you get to hire to build YOUR fiefdom (and insure that you won't be bothered with any of that pesky "work" stuff)?
Don't be too hard on Sandy. She needs to delegate authority so she has time to hire more assistants.

Funny thread. After the way I heard the Rutgers fans treated PSU fans (one who has a pretty wide tolerance on classless stuff said he'd never go back there), I hope the Rutgers "rivalry" gets tminimal attention. They should be like an annoying fly that buzzes by every once in a while. Best of luck in your new job, though!

If I had seen this thread first I never would have commented in the other Sandy assistant to the assistant AD thread.

I was just hired as assistant AD in charge of monitoring the accuracy of the names on the jerseys for both football and basketball. My first move was to hire Glov as my full time assistant.
GLOV is a good man for that job; he believes.

This is exaggerated. I think for the most part, PSU fans were treated well, though we did have a number of morons in our fanbase who embarrassed us. The sign and student chants were embarrassing. But by and large I thought PSU fans had a good time, especially with the win.

We were subjected to worse at WV.
