No, I don't think the stats are meaningful to the PSU game (I fear our O-Line will be overmatched and that we are in for a long day), but in reading the previews I keep reading that UM deserved to win the game other than the punt snafu. Here are some stats:
MSU = 20 first downs. UM = 10.
MSU = 328 yards passing. UM = 160ish.
Total yards MSU outgained UM by 150ish.
Neither team had turnovers or meaningful special teams plays until the end (if anything UM had an edge here).
MSU won on a miracle. Doesn't mean UM outplayed them the whole game. They didn't.
