by that, I mean the depth, breadth, and speed. I knew the Democrats were corrupt. I knew that the GOP allowed it to happen. I was sure something was being done to pay off thousands and thousands of people in the media and federal workers as well as overseas. I guess I never really looked at USAID, but I am SHOCKED at the lack of institutional oversight. I mean, the lack of oversight is on purpose but why did the GOP allow this to go on when they had power? If you control the committees, you control the power (we see that with Trump's nominees). GOP leadership had to know about this, simply had to. If not, they were asleep at the wheel (at best) and/or complicit (probably).
And Trump, with all of that headwind...media, democrats, billionaires, tens of thousands of employees across all of federal govt....still won. That is a testament to the USA system of governance and our people. How in the world could he win with all of that standing in his way? Ground roots people is all you can say.
We'll see what the next few days bring. Wait until they uncover FEMA and NEA. We may be to the point where any prominent federal democrat, media personality, or Hollywood rabid supporter can never show their face again.
The great reset from the public sector to the private sector?
