I know S. Lee was oustanding wrestler of year, but

I don't know anyone that was more dominant than Spencer Lee. He was other worldly. In all reality, he was a freak show this year.

Almost always a couple guys that could be OW. Individual results, level of competition are always factors, and since humans are involved there will be career-creep. Close enough that I can see the case for Lee. Brooks with the only bonus point win in the finals and the most individual points scored would put him close.

AB or Starocci. CStar hammered the number 2 guy in the country who is an AA and beat Mekhi this year. Labs never came close to even touching Starocci. AB demolished the field including AA Romero who gave Aaron a 1 point match earlier this year. He majored him this weekend and pretty much made him quit. Those were to me the best performances of the weekend. I think AB absolutely should have been OW and Spencer rightfully got Big 10 wrestler of the year

I heard them say that the outstanding wrestler was Mason Parris. That could just be the vote of the 3 announcers. They announced it very quickly after the heavyweight match was over. Not 100% that it was the BIG 10 official selection but they announced it.

Sorry, saw the year part. Still, Lee was an absolute beast. Major props to him. He is a God on the mat.
Don’t disagree. His inevitability of winning his 4th title is much like it was when he was in high school. I still remember watching the match he lost against ADS in Hershey, thinking it must have been one of the biggest upsets in the history of PIAA. Imagine if he loses now. 😳

I can't help but think that Spencer is not as outstanding as he was his freshman year. But he is still outstanding. I can't imagine anyone else doing what he does on those legs of his...except maybe Jason Nolf. ;)
I hold my breath every time someone has one of his legs in their grasp. I really want to see a healthy Spencer and Gilman go at it. That will be a war. Talk about a back story!
