I swear that I created an innocuous thread about old sappy movies...

starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day. It's not showing up anywhere. Did anyone see this thread yesterday afternoon? It was around the time that a Pitt troll was spewing venom... Did it get hijacked and then deleted? It's not a big deal, but I need to confirm whether I'm starting to imagine things or not.

You accidentally posted it on the Wrestling Room board. It didn't last long there.

Those aren't "sappy". Those are old *corny* movies.

Rock was a dear friend of mine. Who knew he was a little "light in the shorts?" Must have come as quite a surprise to his wife, Phyllis. Ever see "Man's Favorite Sport" with Paula Prentiss?

Not that it would have made much difference, most of Hollywood was back in the day. We just didn't talk about it. Doris, on the other hand, was a complete Hollywood fabrication; a made up personality. She slept with anyone who would advance her career. Have you ever heard her singing voice? She made Rosanne wound like the best option for singing at your kid's bar mitzvah.

I've got a male friend who says he used to do Cary Grant. I guess he was bi. If I ever found out Clark Gable was gay or bi, I'd turn in my "girl card". Who can compete with them?

Confession of an A$$h@le.
These pictures remind me of an a$$h@le moment. Once upon a time I worked at a restaurant that had pictures of Hollywood celebrities throughout the dinning room. Well a group of us employees were gathered at a table after work. There was a flamboyant waiter that happened to be sitting under a picture of Rock Hudson. Another co-worker blurted out hey look what picture said waiter is sitting under. In A-hole fashion I laugh. I looked at the waiter and saw a tear coming from his eye. I found out about two weeks later, he had AIDs (he passed away from it about a year? later).

I did try to apologize telling him I had no idea, but what can you say. Sorry I laughed at you dying?

We all have those moments in life. I've had my share. As I've gotten older I have become much more circumspect in my offhand remarks, but I still screw up. In your situation, you did what a gentleman would do. You apologized and learned from the experience.
