Seems like most are blaming the coaches for yesterday's blow out. I don't see it that way. I put it squarely on the players. 21 points off 3 of the turnovers. Take those away and the score is reduced to 34. Carter's fumble completely turned the game. We were driving to take the lead but instead we gave Sparty an instant commanding lead.
And if the OL gets any push at all on a couple times down close at the goal line this game gets real interesting.
Some are saying the confusion on the sideline causes all the bad timeouts and poor clock mgmt. I say Hack should run the play called right away and instead of always going up to the center and pointing to middle of the defense, keep an eye on the play clock.
Players, not coaching, screwed that game up.
Now I will say Herb Hand hasn't proved to me that he is a good coach.
Although some of the turnovers, mistakes, poor tackling and being out-muscled are made by some veterans most of this team is very young. I hope the youngsters can improve their play now that they got this year's experience. Also get another year stronger. Add the redshirts and incoming class and I hope we see significant improvement.
