I think the bye week has a decent shot at upsetting us...tell me I’m wrong

The schedule next weekend is horrible. Other than Georgia/Florida, there doesn't appear to be another Top 25 match-up at the moment.

Four of the top 5 teams are off. Might as well consider Clemson being off as well, since they are playing powerhouse Wofford.

get your household and lawn chores done so that you can buckle in and enjoy undefeated top 5 Penn State and undefeated top 15 Minnesota in two weeks

oh yeah

we will beat BYE like a rented mule- I'm not even going to watch it because it will be just that ugly

The usual talking heads will all put Penn State on upset alert and pick Bye. Bye is a team that should not be overlooked and, if the Lions start looking ahead, that's just the kind of team that can upset them. That being said, I think that Penn State matches up well against Bye and will take them with ease.

One of the reasons my nephew picked this weekend for his wedding

Wanny is as dumb as a rock and if PSU vs Bye is on the monitor he will pick bye.

Also, I would put money on us being above Clemson in the first Playoff rankings.

What's the Vegas line vs Bye? Haven't seen it yet. Thinking of jumping on the early action before the line shifts...

If the offense doesn't play a full 60 minutes there is no way the team can beat Bye (or anyone else left on the schedule). After only playing half games the last 3 weeks and going 0-3 the season is probably lost. Maybe next year guys, but only if we don't have to replace anyone.

Well looks like my wife will have our baby on the bye week! She was due yesterday. It is our first, so I think it will be a pretty great bye week!

That was nice of your wife to synchronize her ovulation with the Penn State football schedule.

Gregg...
Sincere, heartfelt congrats.

I think I recall you saying you are involved somehow in the literary field, so me giving you advice on books is probably like this board giving Franklin coaching advice but...

Well, if Michigan can get credit for a win after losing to us, I'm sure we can get credit for a loss without playing a game.
Herbie was talking UM up during the game with ND. When they were piling on the points during the 4th he was supporting Harbaugh for doing so. Herbie also said that even though OU lost to KSU they were still in the playoff discussion.

During football season:

Weddings - NO. You miss not only that year's game, but future anniversary celebrations worm their way into and interfere with the football schedule. And after a couple years of that, the football games are far more fun. (errr.... no, no, honey, not ours! Other less fortunate peeps!)

Sex - YES. And plenty of it. Babies being born in the off-season prevents those future kiddie b-day parties taking place on the same day as fave team vs. hated rival. So celebrate wins, console losses, work off anxiety leading up to big games. It is your and your significant other's duty to do so. So stand up straight and onward to the fray! You aspiring parents should 'be right back' early and often all fall on non-Saturdays!

Best to get these things out of the way after the Final Four and before college football starts. Mid-April thru late August is a fine stretch of the year for b-days and weddings!

Lovingly,
- Cynical farte d'olde.

We must go under center or we lose.
I saw three under center fumbles yesterday.
It cost meatchicken a touchdown.

Bye we is not the time to introduce it. Focus on the fullback.

Thanks so much for the congrats and for the book recommendation!
I am indeed involved in that field and right now, as a first time father, I will take all the advice I can get.

My wife is currently on the couch next to me starting to get contractions and deciding if she should call the doctor or not :eek::eek:
