Why go? Because we could win the Big Ten. That's kind of a big deal. It's vital to our program and would be a big boost for recruiting and team confidence. And then if we don't go to the playoffs, our consolation prize is the Rose Bowl. Sounds good to me.

The bottom line is that we lost two games this year. If you lose two, you really can't complain too much if you get "snubbed." I'm kind of surprised that we are even in the conversation to be honest with you, but there just were not any dominant teams this year outside of Bama.

Couldn't agree more. Bleeding blue and white for fourty years. Even in the good days these opportunities didn't come along all that often. The game is designed to crown the B1G champ, not to ensure a playoff spot. That said, OSU used it in 2014 to make it to the big show. PSU wins impressively, it could happen. Good luck.

It's also tremendous exposure and offers a trophy our staff can leverage into future recruiting.

How many kids on this team committed during the beginning of the dumpster fire and you wouldn't make it to Indy to help them win a Big Ten Championship because of the playoff committee? That's absolutely ridiculous.

I can guarantee the kids on this team care about winning that Big Ten trophy more than they care about any bowl game we might go to.

With what these kids have had to endure and the sacrifices many of them made committing to Penn State, it would be a travesty if Penn State fans didn't make some sacrifices to fill Lucas Oil this weekend.
