I think Hack struggles due to OL, Depth, and inexperienced players around him.. plus a bit of short inaccuracy and lazy mechanics. But I keep hearing that there is no way he can succeed in this system. In this day and age this will be one of the best systems a drop back QB can find.. you would think we were tOSU or Navy the with the constant square peg round whole comments. I'm in line with this guy (article from last week that has already been hashed out) http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...kenberg-looks-more-like-project-than-prospect

The common criticism that you hear is that he doesn't fit Penn State coach James Franklin's offensive system. Well, for half of Saturday's game, he was playing under center. I saw Penn State utilize multiple tight-end sets, a fullback and play action -- that's all stuff Penn State did when Bill O'Brien was the head coach of the team during Hackenberg's freshman season. It's not as if the Nittany Lions are running a spread offense with zone-reads every other play.

I will respectfully call out Phil G a bit here, between the lines Phil has been frustrated with some play calls and not tailoring the offense enough to Hack. I've got news for everybody, BOB left and any vestige of a pure NFL game went with him. Who runs a better pro scheme?? MSU, UM, USC, Iowa, Wisky, Bama and only a handful of teams.. of all those teams only Alabama has all-Americans at every surrounding position..

Going forward these drop back kids are going to have to adapt. Its so much harder to succeed with a drop back pro style passer that these dinosaur kids will be lucky if there is anywhere for them to play. PSU should remain a place for pure passers to learn their skills, cause it certainly won't happen at tOSU, Minn, Maryland, Indiana, Purdue.. over half the league.. and the BIG by far is the most pro-style QB league that is left.

The only gripe I really have is that we are not under center near enough.. but I think this is due to HORRIBLE guard play, Gaia has simply destroyed QB's and RB's all year long, he should be given pass rusher of the year in the BIG. We suck so bad up front that we had to go wildcat to pick up one yard.. that wasn't a bad call, it was a desperate call.. any team shoots multiple gaps will kill us if went base.. don't believe me?--we made Army look like the Golden People Eaters. SDSU looked the '85 Bears for the entire 3rd quarter until they wore out their cleats on our OL's trampled torso's...we made 5'8" Jake Fely look like a 6'3" Junior Seau.-sg
