If all the tailgaters who didn't come into the stadium did, what would the attendance have been?

I read that there were thousands of people who never came in to stadium. Personally, I have never understood this, as I would kill to get in to watch the game, as these others are just content to either keep partying by their cars, or watch the game on a portable TV.
