Its that both Tom Bradley and Greg Schiano were named as also having "witnessed" or "been told" of abuse.

These two, unlike Joe, are still alive and able to defend themselves. In theory, a very strong, and public refuting of these incredibly false allegations might help.

Or they won't say anything, both UCLA and Ohio State throw them under the bus and we are all worse off. What do I know?

It seems awfully presumptuous to say at this point that they're "incredibly false allegations", doesn't it? You really think that McQueary would be so willing to throw his good friend (and former roommate) Tom Bradley and former colleague Greg Schiano under the bus that easily - especially given that McQueary would have known darn well what would be coming to them?

Not good for PSU at all but good in the sense that we may be getting a little bit closer to the truth wherever that may lead. We cannot fully move on until we know what really happened

That is good news.

Neither will most likely speak up unfortunately.

LdN

I would think they would have to if they want to keep their jobs. At least they'll have to speak to their bosses and UCLA and Ohio State will have to explain their side of the story.

Boy did Schiano and Bradley's world change today... Now that they are out there in printed ink they will be forever linked to this as well. Will be interesting to see if they come out swinging in public or stay quiet. I would imagine they are going to have to release some kind of statements at some point most likely through their lawyers.

"Is there any "good" in today's news"........

YES, I'm going to save quite a bit of money each week.

My good friend and my doctor Frank, sent me for my normal six month blood tests this past week.

I was sitting at the table having a plate of watermelon last night after my daily cocktail hours when my wife came home from my granddaughter’s field hockey camp and told me that “Frank” called earlier and said you have to stop all alcohol consumption. Evidently my blood came back positive for HEP C. I didn't speak with Frank yet, but I'm sure it's in the beginning stages and I understand that its very treatable.

Until 2011, I was only drinking beer. Occasionally I’d have a shot or two of bourbon for a toast with friends. When this $hit storm started in 2011, actually I was hearing rumors a year or two earlier, I started my bourbon intake many times fold each evening.

My grave epithet

You may be right, but McQueary has had no trouble throwing others under the bus in the past so it wouldn't surprise me here.

I would disagree with this statement

sorry but I have looked at various links (including GS taking the 5th for 30 pages or so) but I cant see where TB and Greggy names come up, can you please direct me to this?

With out seeing what it is they are accused of, could it be as simple as, be they just didn't want a bunch of kids around?? If JS wanted to have this TSM thing, he could do it on his own time, and at its own place, just don't be bugging me with it?

Anyone thought to ask if MM is so credible then why didn't the prosecutors call Bradley or Schiano to corroborate his claims. Someone correct if I'm wrong on this, but I've seen no reference that either of these guys was even interviewed.

At the very least they will be talking to their AD. You can't choose to just not talk when accused of covering up child abuse.

I have got to believe that Danville is correct here. You cannot sit in a cone of silence after your name appears in print. Somebody, somewhere, at UCLA and Ohio State, is going to talk to them, and they will be called on to speak back, even if they issue across-the-board denials, it will be necessary for them to meet with someone.

At this point, about the only thing that could be worse would be video or audio of any of these events. Not that I would expect any of that to exist.

So there's that. We may have hit rock bottom.

So Bradley and Schiano witnessed Jerry doing things with kids and ignored it. They went on with their lives and never reported it to a soul. Do I have this right?

Schiano I can believe a bit. He has always been about himself.

Bradley my god, he is a family man. I find it hard to believe has been this quit for this long.

The "best" news of the day is the O'Dea stuff. If I'm understanding things correctly, the victim stated that O'Dea witnessed molestation in 1988 -- but he wasn't on PSU's staff until 1991. If true, that's the sort of easily verifiable evidence that can show how bogus these claims can be and help to discredit them.

But before we go there, that doesn't mean he wasn't at the camp in 88. He is from Williamsport, and did go to Lock Haven, so there's a chance JS or PSU hired him to work the camp, just because they needed guys to work there. I don't know if this is true or not, and I saw Jay's tweet, buy O'Dea didn't just fall out of the sky and start working for PSU in 91, he could have worked the camps before that time.

His. The guy has always been loyal to his brothers, sisters, and proud of his nephew.

Yeah, that really isn't relevant. A good family man is usually a father in most cases. Most single men in their 50's with no kids don't wear the title family man. I'm not saying he is a bad guy at all, but you're description of a family man is pretty loose.

Why do they have to have kids to be considered a "family" man.

A family is parents, brothers, sisters also.

There is some good in today's news. It gives pitt fans a reason to live. They have no real interest in their miserable sports teams. This news gives them a ray of hope that Joe's legacy will become tarnished. This is their only reason to live.
