Well, I don't care about Pitt. I despise Michigan slightly more than I do tOSU, so.....
If you live in the Pittsburgh area you understand how intolerable it is to be around Pitt fans. They are still talking about how they beat PSU.Have to beat them .

We should be favorites against Pitt and Michigan (both home games). OSU in Columbus will be the toughest test.

Losing to OSU in Columbus isn't terrible.

After last year's game vs. Michigan, and seeing Michigan fans reference the score 10,000 times since, means that game is #1 for me.

Agree. Gotta have that one at home, October, probably a white out.

We aren't losing to Pitt at home with this team so that one to me is a nonstarter. And I don't live in Pittsburgh so I've never seen a real actual living Pitt fan. OSU will be tough but Trace and Saquon will be more than up to the task.

Good times.

I think I changed my mind 5 times on this before finally choosing Michigan. I just really, REALLY, Don't like them. Agree with LuvDa though, Ohia will be perceived as the best till we (or someone), consistently knocks them off.

A veteran Pitt team got a young PSU team with a new offensive system at home last year, early in the season, when PSU was banged up... and PSU still should have won. Beating Pitt is already guaranteed next year, so no sane person would pick a win over a lower tier team from the worst P5 division.

If PSU beats Michigan, they will have beaten UM, OSU, UW, and MSU the last time they played each of those teams.

I live in Pittsburgh, nothing but the greatest respect for University of Pittsburgh, but Pitt athletics, Pitt fans virtually exclusive, and the annoying Pitt media - not time for any of that noise. 8-5 with a win over 1-AA, they're no threat and unlikely to ever be a threat. We're not in the ACC so who cares.

We've gotten OSU more than seldom. Always great to beat them, but we've proven we can take them down as well as anybody else in the conference.

It's Michigan. It's always Michigan.

A loss at home to Michigan would be much more resume-damaging than a loss to tOSU in Columbus.

My vote: Michigan!

We cannot, repeat cannot lose to Pitt and have a successful season so that's the one that is a MUST. After that I expect to beat Michigan at home and toss up at OSU, although I expect us to be underdogs going in.

PSU lost to Pitt last season and had a very successful season.

We cannot lose to Georgia State. I repeat, we cannot lose to Georgia State. A loss to a FCS team will knock us out of the top 10 and we would not recover our ranking until November, and that is IF we run the table. Does anyone know anything about GA State?? Or is this another UCF scenario when they had Blake Bortles and Storm whatever his name was at RB!

Tough game if you take them lightly

Pool our resources.

Gather each of our posters with Svengali-like power over game guarantees. Have each one pick a different game, so all games are covered.

MNC here we come!!

I know that it isn't one of the choices from the original post but if I may I am going to go with guaranteeing a win over Alabama on January 8th 2018

Kind of an incredible statistic - but after 24 years in the B1G we still do not have back-to-back wins over the Buckeyes.

Yes, it happened prior to 1993 but not since then.

I would like for that streak to end. I vote OSU.

But we will be one TD favorites against Pitt one TD dogs to Mich And 10 point dogs to OSU. Screenshot this for posterity.
Strongly disagree. We will not be a 7 point dog at home vs Michigan. If we are undefeated we will likely be favored. Ten points is too much at osu. I would take all three of those bets right now.

If PSU beats OSU - even if they lose the other 2 - they likely still go to the B1G game (with Pitt being OOC, and - yes - I figure UM will still be at least a 2 loss team........which, actually, didn't realize until I wrote it out, is exactly what happened in 2016)

So, any guarantees would have to be for the OSU game

Pitt loses their QB (Peterman) and 2 OL (Johnson, Bisnowaty). They also lose Connor but I think they'll be just as good with Ollison. What other big losses do they have? Those 3 are big losses but I think they return a lot of kids.

PSU should be a 7 pt favorite at home but in no way a sure thing.

Let me fix that for you.
  • Agree 7 pt favorites over Pitt
  • 3 pt favorites over UM at home
  • 6 pt dogs to OSU on the road

I agree. Most of my family are Pitt Alums. Love my Family, but hate Pitt.

Mom told me not to wear any of my Penn State gear to Thanksgiving or Christmas after the Sandusky scandal broke. Thought there would be major physical confrontations at the dinner table if I wore it. Told me to wear Steeler stuff instead. ONLY because she was my Mom and a great person (and of course a Pitt Alum), I grudgingly complied.

Not only did I really develop a bigger hate for Pitt because of that, I don't even like the Steelers as much as I used to.

Screw Pitt.

Difficult choice but, if we can beat Ohio State in the shoe next year it will mean we are on our way to another B1G east title and shot at another B1G championship.
Exactly correct. If we beat tOSU and only have one loss, 90% probability we are in the CFP.

Pitt
I don't care about Pitt and think we should never play them again, but I chose Pitt because losing to them would be a big deal.
A loss to OSU or Mich is respectable. A win against Pitt gets us nothing b/c we are supposed to beat them. A loss is very damaging (See 2016).
