If you guys don't get in the CFP system must be abandoned by BIG10

If the BIG10 Champion doesn't get in the CFP but a team it beat in the regular season does, then this thing needs to be burned down and reworked before next year. It would laughable to hear anyone make a logical case for Ohio State getting in, but the BIG10 Champ, who beat Ohio State during the regular season, does not. Let that sink in for a moment.

I think its Jim Delany's job now to make sure this does not happen. If he stands by and allow it to happen the way the TV talking heads want it to be... it will be one of the great all-time travesties in college sports.

Delany was asked about that and he said he was OK with OSU being the only B1G representative. He made a point of saying, "We lost that vote four years ago" then he shrugged his figurative shoulders. If our conference commissioner doesn't have a problem with it then nothing will change.

The conference won't fight for Penn State but they don't realize they are allowing a precedent to be set. They will be crying big time the next time the B1G champ doesn't get in and they don't have OSU getting a bye. They will have no one to blame but themselves.

For years they talk about why sec gets two in to playoff etc because they are so awesome. Now the big is awesome and the guy says that I tried 4 years ago. Time for a new commissioner! He should have stood up yesterday and said that the big is awesome and the pac was down and Washington played no one out of conference or that Clemson didn't beat a top ten team ( currently) and both osu and psu beat two if not three!

If Delany does fight for Penn State this year his time has expired IMHO. Its obvious he works for Michigan & Ohio State exclusively.

No, but he does have a powerful voice and a lot of influence; neither of which he uses if OSU and/or Michigan do not benefit.

That's very naive and simply untrue. There is a procedure the cmte. uses to allow AD's and conference commissioner to communicate (lobby) the cmte. I've even heard some talk about their communications with the cmte. and what kind of information they give it.

As long as OSU is in the BIG is happy as a clam...they could care less about PSU. If I was PSU pres I would be calling Delany and telling him flat out we are looking to go elsewhere...hello ACC! I despise this conference....

I don't have a problem with PSU being left out. As a Big Ten fan I would have loved to see two schools in the playoff from the Big Ten. They lost to Pitt and were hammered by Michigan. Oddly I think had they lost to Wisconsin we likely would have had two in. I think Wiscy close losses and realy win over LSU would have put them in.

They've all convinced themselves that the money they get from BTN and other broadcast rights, as well as bowl revenue sharing (except when Delaney takes it away), is worth being treated as less than OSU and UM. There are more schools who won't evet be in PSU's current position than will, so there's no motivated block of opposition.

But you already knew that.

You're almost amusing, but in a laughing at, not laughing with, kind of way. Having two conference losses to OSU and UM made Wiscy odd man out. The LSU win only looks good because they're an SEC team being propped up for that reason alone. It wasn't that good a win. You thinking Wiscy would have jumped over UM is just special!
