What's your setup for Nationals? Anyone gonna catch the PSU Flu and call into work? I have my gym taken away for a school play, all week, so I might have the iPad on 4 mats all day Thursday/Friday during class. Maybe the school will let me bring down the SMART board for "educational purposes".

What's your setup for finals? What are you doing to get as much wrestling in the week days, as possible? Tricks and Tips for those looking to make the most of it?

What it boils down to, is that I need to go see this at some point, but until then, I need to do it right.

I scheduled Tues-Fri off as soon as I possibly could. I bought a new laptop last year, so I had 1 running 4 mats connected to my tv and one indepent with my phone and iPad in toe in case of any technical difficulties. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

Have satellite internet and not great cell service so ordered a $400 booster today to catch what ESPN and ESPNU miss.

Own my own business so no work Thursday or Friday.

Hey guys. I'm not attending for the first time in 3yrs and oh my is it ever stinging. I don't know about the PSWC site's treatment of PSU guys on which mats, but Penn State Pat does a good job of this on the twitter @pennstatewrest. Even if you don't 'do twitter', you can bookmark that page and hit refresh: https://twitter.com/pennstatewrest?lang=en But, like Crop, I still want to be very organized. I've got some buddies in town for watching hoops and will inject their shootyball vibes with wrestling when we hang, but I've been trying to decide when to hit the bars, and when to watch at home.

Interesting development this year, for those who have been 'casting' their BTN2GO / BTN+ Webstreams from their laptops to their TV screens, is ESPN expanding their Cable TV broadcasts of different sessions. Some sessions we'll have to decide which source to send to our TV Screens: Cable TV on ESPN / ESPNU or Webstream ESPN3. To help myself, I recreated the schedule, using Eastern time, and listing broadcast options. Was also considering making a BSD Viewer Guide, so I put in the Team Points that are available for each round, which most of you already know. Anyway:

Thu, 12p, Session I
ESPN3 Webstream, all 8 mats
ESPNU Cable TV, live, their mat selections
- Champ Pigtails (1 Advancement Point, 2 Bonus Points available)
- Champ R1 (1 Adv, 2 Bonus available)

Thu, 7p, Session II
ESPN3 Webstream, all 8 mats
ESPN Cable TV, live, their mat selections
- Consi Pigtails aka Wrestle-back Preliminaries (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus available)
- Consi R32 aka Wrestle-back First Round (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus available)
- Champ R2 (1 Adv, 2 Bonus)

Fri, 11a, Session III
ESPN3 Webstream, all 8 mats
ESPNU Cable TV, live, their mat selections
- Champ Quarterfinals, middle 4 mats (1 Adv, 2 Bonus, 6 Placement Points available)
- Consi R24 aka Wrestle-back 2nd Round, outside 4 mats (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus)
- Consi R16 aka Wrestle-back 3rd Round, outside 4 mats (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus)

Fri, 8p, Session IV
ESPN3 Webstream, all 6 mats (dog bone)
ESPN Cable TV, live, their mat selection
- Champ Semifinals, middle 4 mats, one weight-class at a time (1 Adv, 2 Bonus, 6 Placement)
- Consi R12 aka Wrestle-back 4th Round aka Bloodround, outside 4 mats (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus, 3 Placement)
- Consi Quarterfinals aka Wrestle-back 5th Round, all 6 mats (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus, 3 Placement)

Sat, 11a Session V
ESPN3 Webstream, all 3 mats
ESPNU Cable TV, their mat selection
- Consi Semifinals aka Wrestle-back 5th Round (.5 Adv, 2 Bonus, 3 Placement), followed by
- Consi 7th Place (2 Bonus, 1 Placement)
- Consi 5th Place (2 Bonus, 1 Placement)
- Consi 3rd Place (2 Bonus, 1 Placement)

Sat, 8p, Session VI
ESPN Cable TV, one mat
- Champ Finals (2 Bonus, 4 Placement)

So the times on the NCAA site are central times? They have them starting at 11am on Thursday & 10am on Friday.

New job eliminated any chance of attending Bigs or Nats. Do work out of my house though. The "office" Thursday and Friday will be in front of the tv with the laptop catching all PSU matches as well. Praying for light meeting days and no bleeping power outages. Had one during Friday's weather in the Laurel Mts.

I need a booster myself. Is that the going rate these days?

My setup from a couple years ago.

The brand I got was a weboost. They also have one for around $150 more with a bigger coverage zone.
Trackwrestling updates mats very nicely and is easy to follow but it is ahead of video sometimes so it can ruin the TV if not careful.

Yep. 2 comps just for matches, the other one for track, jb, forums, etc.....

"Working from home" Thursday & Friday.

Streaming my iPad & PC.

Gonna have the fly tying vice out as well, so during down time between key matches I can whip up a few dozen flies during the three days ....

Going to the butcher shop & farmers market Wednesday - make a solid crock pot w veggies and also pick up some local steaks for the grill.

Pick up a bottle of good bourbon for Saturday night.

I'll be dialed in.

Not able to attend this year... but i've told the wife "you need to pretend like im in St Louis because i wont hear a word you say." I have Primanti's on speed dial.

So, I take personal days each th and fri of nationals. It appears with this storm that I'll have tomorrow and wednesday off, too. Must be a good sign. :)

Fly tying!!??!! That's some serious multitasking. It always works out, but Thursday morning (if I'm not there in person) is sheer panic on the computer. I always expect something like the recent Flo debacle. Fingers crossed.

Lol. I'm not going to be tying anything challenging, that's for sure.

And only in between PSU matches.

The old PIP just doesn't cut it anymore. That's picture in picture to the layperson.

I'm going to try and watch on my phone at work. Is the PS wrestling club page the best resource to find out the mat location for PSU wrestlers?
Trackwrestling is probably your best resource. It will tell you who is on deck on every mat.
