Couple of thoughts on the game
1. Don't be surprised if Illinois tries some trickeration - onside kicks, double pass downfield (they did this last year), tackle eligible, etc. Bielema has no reason not to try these gimmicks.
2. Halfway decent running game by PSU and the game will never be close.
3. That said, I feel like last year, Illinois will blow their load early. And then have noting for the rest of the game.

Here is the way I see it:
If we come out and TR is running the regular offense then we are in trouble as I see that as Cliff being out past OSU.
If we come out with a much smaller playbook and look like we are just trying to win this game then I see that as a positive that Cliff will be back next week.

I don't think we could really take TR running regular offense vs smaller playbook as any indication on Clifford's status. IMHO, I think they run a small playbook regardless because if Clifford is out past OSU, you'd want to build TR's confidence and build on the playbook each week.
Folks will read too much into any sort of detail from the game to try discern Clifford's health/status. If he dresses, he's close. If he doesn't, he's not but the counter is why dress him if he wasn't going to play anyway. Does Clifford wave his arms on the sideline? Does he throw in pregame? I don't think we know until kickoff vs Ohio State what's going on.
I'll give Franklin credit, for a huge campus, social media, and high interest, no one knows anything about Clifford's status.
Predict strong rushing attack, 300 yards on the ground including QB yards.

This is the dumbest thing I heard. You don’t install an entirely new offense in two weeks due to an injury. This is not Madden video game. Suggestions like these are so stupid.
