I'm looking for a good Electric BBG Grill for my condo patio deck. Any suggestions?

Reading the reviews, it seems like they all take forever to heat up, and then even longer to cook even a hamburger. I can't use gas due to HOA restrictions. Your thoughts please?

I've had bad experiences with electric grills, had a charbroil that was pretty much useless. Lost all the heat as soon as you opened the lid and then took forever to get back up to temp. I've read good things about the weber q electric (their gas q grills are great imo). Depending on how your HOA rules read, you could get a small charcoal grill and use bic flame disks.

You can try an electric pellet grill. I have one and it is awesome. They make them in all different sizes and have some that would be perfect for a condo patio. I have a Pit boss I bought at walmart and it works great. I have done pulled pork, steaks, burgers, chicken etc on it and it does a great job. They get hot and stay hot.

No, they don't allow the pellet grills, but I have also read how great they work. I think the general consensus is that there just aren't any good electric grills, which is what I was afraid of. I guess I'll continue going to great BBQ restaurants, but it is getting to be expensive :)!

I'd move. Seriously though I would consider a petition from other residents, I think it's a ridiculous rule and I expect others agree

What could go wrong?

If you put wood chips inside of an electric smoker is that really any different than an electric pellet smoker?

If the HOA bylaws preclude electric pellet smokers but are silent as to inserting wood chips in an electric Masterbuilt smoker, I think it’s any easy decision.

I read the title of the OP and decided to not open the thread. Now that I opened it, it is exactly as I thought. Isn't an electric grill also known as an oven? Here is a photo of mine:

Seriously, got a laugh out of some of the posts. Sorry I can't be of help. i won't even get a gas grill opting for the old school charcoal grill instead.
