I think he was just running a what he viewed as a high margin, cash machine business. The main reason the business was so high margin was because he cut so many corners. He just a executed a series of lucrative hit and runs on high profile cases that demanded a much greater attention to detail. I'm afraid he has it coming back to him in spades.
