Collectivist Failure: Bernie Sanders is fond of saying that the socialism he’s promoting is the socialism that produces nice places such as Sweden and Denmark. If those countries set the bar for him, then a Sanders-led America would fall into sharp decline.
During the Democrats’ first debate in the fall, Sanders, running for president as a Democrat but wagging his tongue for decades as a socialist, said that the U.S. “should look to countries like Denmark, like Sweden and Norway, and learn from what they have accomplished for their working people.” If we did look to those nations, we’d find out that if the two of them were American states, their standard of living would be much nearer the bottom than the top in this country.
In other words, they have much in common with America’s poorest states.
