There have been very few periods since 1900 when there was no inflation. That means getting all worked up about a normal situation is nonsense. The recent inflation is not even the highest rate of inflation in that period of 1900 to now.
People know gas used to be $.29/gal, bread was $.05 a loaf. What also increase over time are wages. Inflation is a natural state and will probably be so no matter who is elected - the difference would only be in the rate of inflation. Currently the Fed has been able to reduce the rate of inflation to 2.25 with no real large increases in sight (unless we have large tariffs).
