Inside the Den: Bowl Practice News & Notes

Just back from Penn State's partially opened practice this afternoon at Holuba Hall. Not a ton to report, but will work through a few notes here anyway:

1) It was nice to see Torrence Brown back with the team. He wasn't in uniform, obviously as his season is over, but he had on a jersey and sweatpants and was back at practice for - to my recollection - the first time I've seen since his injury. He was in the warm-up line with Fred Hansard, who also was not participating tonight.

2) We were only on hand for warm-ups as the team stretched, and then a brief period of special teams work. During special teams, they were working on onsides kicks. Additionally, for the brief period we were watching, Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders were back at kick return.

3) Certainly, Ryan Buchholz had returned in a limited role toward the end of the season, but he looked pretty good tonight and was back participating again in practice. Again, this was all noncontact work during the short period we were permitted into Holuba Hall, but he looked fluid in his movement.
