I noticed that Ohio State is on its way to the Midlands, and most of their starters already have 15+ matches under their belt ... some as many as 20. By contrast, only 2 of our starters have more than 6 matches, and our next scheduled competition is on 1/5.

Iowa's lineup, BTW, has a similar number of matches to ours, but they will add 3 or 4 more at Soldier Solute, though it will be little more than an intrasquad meet.

If you look at the last twelve years…Ryan has really done a pretty decent job. The punt year championship plus several second place finishes. Were it not for Cael at Happy Valley tOSU would have won probably four Championships over that span. A much better record than Smith at the other OSU. He is weird dude…does and says some stupid stuff, but Tan Tom has been a good coach. That said…lately seems like that place is where great wrestlers go to learn to mediocre.

Maybe there’s too much to do in Columbus.

Was just reading an article quoting Kenny C saying he returned after his AA season 30 lbs overweight and spent the whole season worried only about making weight. Blamed himself.

Very true, these events would be a downgrade for PSU. They get much harder competition inside their room daily.

Did the creamery go out of business? Ye Olde College Diner?

If there's one aspect of wrestling that is fundamentally problematic, it's the weight system with the single weight class occupant .

Was he 30 pounds overweight or was he still maturing and being forced to suppress natural development to meet an organizational goal (I need you to be 184) as opposed to letting his weight find its natural level as he physically matured?

Of course at Okie State the goal would have been 149.

It's unfortunate there's no apparent way to go Madison.
