Dumb thought of the day....Why not Kahlil Dinkins to wide out from TE?

You can stop laughing anytime now. He is certainly tall, sure handed fast and has an excellent vertical leap, can high point... way faster than Deonte Thornton. Could likely lose weight easier than gain weight. Looks a lot like a big wide receiver to me.

Do you have Franklin's cell #?

When they recruited him, I thought he could play a hybrid role, but based on his weight program and their vision for him at tight end, I don’t see that happening. He’s listed at 6’4”, probably well over 240 pounds now. He very frequently lined up at WR in high school, but I think he is too big now.

I like your plan better than the one they are pursuing with him. Time will tell.

Kahlil Dinkins was as good a DE in HS as TE. They should be looking at him at LB or DE if anything.
If there is a player on the roster that should be looked at as a WR it should be the kid who has an NFL WR dad in Christian Driver.

Drivers switch to WR was announced about 2 weeks ago. Agree that Dinkins is a really gifted and versatile athlete that could play many positions very well. An intriguing player.

What position did dinkins father play in the NFL?

Too big to catch and block? Did it bother anyone when when our wrs were winning jump balls 15-18?

I like the idea. If a guy can catch what do I care if he was wide open or covered like a glove? Big guys can be open by positioning! Teams can't have all big slow WRs but a team can afford one big guy who can win a jump ball. They actually need one.

Bring back Harold Carmichael
