Great article from the Des Moines Register regarding the coaching hires - all with Hawkeye pedigree. And it shows how the stature of NCAA wrestling has changed. My bet is on the Cyclones making a resurgence - they've done something Pitt hasn't done - they invested in coaches and facilities. I'm also curious about the bad blood between the Brands and Zadick, and I'm guessing Metcalf and St. John, too.

Per some posts on HR, St John supposedly is not tight at all with the Brands.

That rivalry is going to be intense when ISU finds its footing.

I'm sure the HR posters can fill you guys in on the rocky relationship between TNT and Zadick and St John. There are tons of people over there who position themselves as "tied in" with the program.

Brands creates bad blood with his wrestlers all the time....Guys that wrestle for him a couple years end up hating it...That is a fact with a lot of them...Thank God we have Cael !!!! Iowa State is going to be beating Iowa very soon....BOOK IT !!!!

Train wrecks are usually caused by a lack of brakes...

I'm stoked the top five seven programs have become a little predictable. Things just got interesting.
