Rhule is a good coach. Unfortunately a couple of moronic posters on our site with an agenda and for whatever reason despise our good coach CJF, have galvanized, at least on the part of some , negative sentiment against a former Lion to the point where there are multiple threads on Baylor and Rhule.
Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma May have had something to do with it.
I would take Rhule as my coach in a heartbeat.

On accepting a penalty rather than letting Oklahoma have a 4th down and a field-goal attempt: "That was a hard one. I have to think about that tomorrow and see if I should have. After I did that, I say, Boy... Next play they hit us on a shallow cross and scored. Wish I would have made them kick it.

I know Rhule crushed Franklin in 2015.

Yup. Franklin's a quality coach, and Rhule's a quality coach. Most would acknowledge these two truths.
But then you have the trolls, led by doxxer PeetzPoolBoy, who have turned Rhule's success into a mind-numbingly repetitive tool with which to unfairly bash Franklin.
And even though they're allegedly adults, this entertains them. I guess it's either that, or playing with their bellybutton lint.
I have a friend who is a huge Oklahoma fan.
He was telling me that no PSU WR was as good as any of the Okie WRs.
He is the kind of person that it does no good to argue with, so I let it go at the time.
However, he may have been more correct than I thought he was.
Well. I only believe 'what's fair is fair' ... and since so many on this board (and Penn State fans in general) want to blame EVERYTHING the team does wrong on Franklin... then it should hold that Baylor's collapse wa 100% the fault of Rhule.

I guess you missed the sarcasm. You also missed that my response wasn’t to your words on Hurts but rather your statement of, “I would take Rhule as my coach in a heartbeat.”
Okay. I’ll agree Oklahoma has more talent That’s still no excuse for blowing a 25 point lead at home. Baylor was supposed to have a strong defense and the got torched. The criticism of Franklin would be unrelenting if that happened to PSU. People rip him even when they win for God’s sake.
Coach Franklin is landing terrific talent at Penn State. He brought Penn State back by winning the B10 Championship and played in a Rose Bowl. He also represents the school well and takes no nonsense from athletes.
