Donald lied, and continues to lie, about the 2020 election. He invited a crowd to Washington. The night of January 5 Sean Hannity texted Trump that he was concerned about Jan 6. Trump knew the potential for violence. Trump watched the insurrection on TV for THREE hours before making any effort to stop it. Trump ignored calls from congressmen and his own son to stop the insurrection. Peter Navarro wrote a book about Trump’s efforts to steal the election. Finding votes, lobbying state legislatures, lobbying state election officials, dozens of frivolous lawsuits, lobbying Congress and the VP to unconstitutionally void the election results. All in direct violation of Trump’s oath to protect and defend the constitution.
