It is pretty clear that Joe Paterno was the only leader this university ever had. Nothing but a bunch of corporate CYA's left.

You are probably correct in your premise. But based on his present location I don’t believe that there’s anything he can do to correct things. Therefore it may behove us to focus our attention on more realistic alternative solutions.

He was such a leader that he just passed the buck when it really mattered. Leaders lead not just pass things down the line. Seriously the guy has been dead for years so he wouldn't be much help now.

And just how long have you been laying in wait and salivating to throw in that cheap shot?

So none of the founders strong and great that we raise the song for were good leaders? I'll give you the modern day, but in the history of the university JoePa was the only leader?

OK, amended to the last 20 years. I really cannot say earlier than that.

Looking at your post, it appears more thought and effort was put into that signature image than PSU's red zone offense. That being said, it probably took someone about 5 minutes to develop the image.

I mean I'm not sure how to respond to that. Are you upset I have the image that is on our players jerseys and helmets as my signature? Are you bashing the concept of the image itself or what it represents? Are you upset that the image exists in the first place because there was a good discussion on that several weeks ago if you want to dig it up again. Or are ya just saying that more attention should be paid to coaching as opposed to using the logo in the first place?

I think John Coyle and countless other professors were leaders back in the day - before they stopped teaching and started doing whatever it is they do today. Also John Oswald and Bryce Jordan seemed to be good leaders.

blm was sure out "bashing some heads" in D.C. over the weekend, huh? Quick question - how much money has blm donated to black-owned businesses who have been burned down or harmed by the rioting? Any entrepreneurial zones established? Any scholarships given out? Anything? Anything at all - other than the dnc?

Oswald was not a good leader. Jordan was, as was Eric Walker.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

I think the world needs a lot less Eric Barrons and Sandy Barbours, and more Joe Paternos.
Listen KanePa / Poster, why are you still here? GTFO already!

This guy hates Joe Pa more than most on the Lair. He's so far right wing he got himself banned on the Lair yet his legendary status lives on through numerous references in threads almost daily. Don't buy any of his pro Joe BS.

Here is a copy of his last post on the Lair.

So Kane, you mention Christ in your post. Serious question, are you even a Christian? Does not sound like it based on your hatred of Paterno and Penn State!
I’m pretty sure Christ himself hates Paterno and Penn State, Cincinnati.

Your post is completely wrong.

I think Joe Paterno was awesome. A true leader and one we surely are lacking today.

I would venture to say that almost no one on the right has anything but admiration for Joe Paterno.

No idea who the guy on the Lair is.

I think I’m in the minority here, but I think Graham Spanier was a good leader.

Other than the crazy increases in tuition, I thought Spanier had a grand vision of what the University could be and worked hard to get it there.

Oswald was not a good leader. Jordan was, as was Eric Walker.

Wasn't Walker the one that would snowmobile across campus then chew out the cops for not catching him?

I have to agree. In time of crisis, the BOT got rid of the only two people that could have made a difference. As much as I didn't like some of Spanier's direction of the campus, he never would have let the NCAA steamroll over us.

Spot on.

OK. Good point.

While I do not know much about him, it wouldn't surprise me at all that a former NCAA champion would be an awesome leader, if he is smart enough.

While at Penn State, Cael's team has won the National Championship in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.

Ned Litchfield had a "grand vision" of what Pitt could be. Guess where it got 'em.

How about we look for leaders with the characteristics that Joe Paterno displayed?

That was the point.

We all know he's dead.

Well, that's interesting...you're not a Penn State fan but your here honoring Joe? It must be painful for you to attempt to keep up this ruse. So, are you planning to stay around here long term or are you going to reveal your true self and explode soon?

Why did you get banned on the Lair? They are still talking about you there often so it's clear you made an impression.

I truly don't know what to tell you.

I'm a long time PSU fan (really a JoePa fan, more than a PSU fan, especially now).

I've never been a Pitt fan.

I have never posted on any Pitt message board, under any handle.
