I have watched a lot of basketball in my life, especially college basketball. One of the most important things I have learned in the game of basket all is that it is a marathon, not a sprint. I would like to offer that mindset to you all to remember, its a marathon. We all knew this season might be a little rough, not too much talent on this team. It is about the 2016 class and their development, with Shep and Reeves.

It takes a while to get all your guys in their and it takes even longer to build a program that is consistent. I would like to pass caution on to all of you, next year is going to be equally rough. These freshman coming in are good players, but not one and done studs and superstars, they are nice players. With all of them combined the hope is that they become a consistent winner IN TIME. Hate to say it, but next year is about development as well and it might take longer. These freshman coming in are not going to win 20+ games right away, got to take your lumps.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Chambers and staff will need to exercise patience and so will we. It's about developing and flashes.

Some things to take into account:
1) Reeves will be good in time, but in no way do you let him freelance out there, that is not displine or winning basketball. Game is about a team and efficiency.

2) Guys like Shep and Reeves can make shots, but others around them need to create for them. Right now, I can tell you, it is tough for Nosh and Shep they need to work for every shot. That's tough game in and game our, but teams know you stop them you will win.

3) There is a lack of talent, with a talent infusion next year hopefully a culture can built, which will be built and sustained for years. I stress a CULTURE needs to be built, recruits take notice of it.

4) The Watkins situation is going to be a fluid one, lots of moving parts.....

5) Recruting wise Chambers is still hitting Philly, lots of young guys in 2017-2018 that are aware of PSU.

It takes time, so give it time.
