It's Lebron and a bunch of scrubs. Pitiful.***

Still feel that way, Mile High, after the Cavs won the game?

It was an entertaining 4h quarter, and an entertaining OT. Huge win for the Cavs.

That was a very sloppy and uninspired effort by the Warriors. They played like they could come back wherever they wanted. Cleveland clearly has less talent, with the exception of Lebron, but sometimes the more talented team doesn't win. You still have to go out and make plays. If you act like you can mail it in it may not happen.

Agree, Mile High. The Warriors are just a way better team than the Cavs, especially with Irving and Love out. But even a decidedly better team has to go out and show some effort. What was Curry's line, something like 4 for 18? Painful to watch.. Look for the Dubs to show a whole lot better in Game 3. I give the Cavs credit for not laying down and giving Cleveland fans some hope.

for a 3-pt shooting team, the Warriors were a pitiful 8-35 from 3, splash brothers were combined 6-27.

Cavs had 14 offensive rebounds, outrebounded GS 55-45.

Warriors also had 18 turnovers. sloppy game

I didn't watch the game, but I read that one of the Cavs scrubs shut down Curry. Maybe Curry just had an off night.

Mattthew Dellavedova played good, hard defense but as a defender he isn't Jordan or Kobe Bryant or even Kyrie Irving. Curry had his shots. They just didn't go down.

You guys don't watch a lot of NBA.

There is a reason why they call the playoffs the "second season." The D knows the offensive plays, tendencies, refs swallow their whistles, game gets more physical, game slows down, have to grind out wins. Pretty basketball isn't played in the finals. Games are typically 10 to 15 points less per game.

GSW is indeed a good team. But they've been very fortunate. 1) they play in the "pretty" west. 2) Three of the teams they've played in the playoffs have lost their starting point guards early in the series and 3) they have had almost no injuries at all.

Contrast that with the Cavs who have lost three guys that have been all-stars: Varejao, Love & Irving. No team, having lost two of the top three scorers, has made the finals.

Curry reminds me of pistol pete. Perhaps the best shooter of all time. But it is much easier to stop a Curry than a James. James can just power in.

Don't be fooled, Cavs came very, very close to winning game one. This could easily be 2-0 Cavs (or 2-0 GSW despite the numerous bad calls against the Cavs down the stretch in both games). GSW is very "grabby" on defense.

Now, the pressure is on GSW. Pressure makes outside shooting even more difficult, especially in a hostile environment, as they tend to start to alligator arm shots. Plus, they are very inexperienced at playing under pressure in the playoffs.

Their big advantage is their deep bench, at this point Cavs are playing with six guys. They red-eyed into CLE this morning and will play tomorrow. Not much rest for James (who played 50+ minutes), TT, JR, Delly, etc. JR is also too emotional and could easily get tossed out of a game at any moment.

Don't underestimate CLE. Its anybody's series and they have the best player on the planet. This is going to be a 6 or 7 game series and its going to get very, very physical.

these teams seem a lot more evenly matched than most are saying (most who don't watch the NBA)

I think I said a few weeks ago the Cavs are VERY physical and very quick to rotate on defense.

if you look at the OT for both games, the Warriors won game 1 because JR Smith took crappy shots and the Warriors hit their buckets

in game 2, the only 2 baskets the Warriors got in OT were offensive putbacks by Green.

seems like shot selection and defense down the stretch is going to determine the NBA champs

with that said, my brother has the NBA "reverse" theory in effect . . . Warriors covered the spread in game 1 and the total pts went OVER

so he laid heavy on the Cavs and the Under for game 2

Warriors have not exploded offensively in this series, so look for GS to go over 100 pts and win game 3 :D

Great points. And, I insist, James is unstoppable. The only question is if they have enough gas in the tank to compliment him.

James was 11-34. he is clearly "stoppable" but his worst enemy seems to be LBJ. seems like he dribbles down the clock and takes a lot of bad shots. he just needs to keep pounding the ball inside

Kinda agree....but the Cavs are trying to control the tempo. GSW are a 'streak' team. Slowing the game down keeps GSW from running the floor and getting into a rhythm. And, there's nobody on the team that can score. So the load is on James.

he's spoken about this several times...apologizing for taking so many shots.

I am not about to question him. Everyone I know says his basketball IQ is off the charts. The coaches are just letting him go.

seems a valid point, even LBJ taking a bad shot is good strategy if it disrupts the Warrior's flow

and Thompson and Mozgov seem to be doing their job on the boards

There is also speculation that Blatt is keeping Mozgov off he floor down the stretch, who is having a great +/- vs the Warriors, to keep GSW from running the floor and getting into a flow. Cavs seem to be playing defense even when playing offense.

well one thing I mentioned a few weeks ago about the Cavs physically punishing other teams . . . I notice they do that on offense as well. lots of motion, picks, screens, hard bodies to crash the boards. that will wear an opposing team down over 4 quarters.
