Interesting tidbit: The brother of a former friend of mine was on Judge Judy (and another television courtroom show after that if you have a hard time believing lightning strikes twice). The case involved the supposed theft of his Louis Vuitton handbag from the coat check at famous NYC club, Webster Hall. Luckily, despite my friend's brother's utter lack of finesse, tact and pretty much any other trait you could imagine lending you a shred of credibility, this kid's father showed up with what had to be some of the most extensive, if not completely irrelevant legal information pertaining to the case at hand. In the end, I'm not sure what happened, but they did get a healthy appearance fee independent of the verdict.
