Thanks for sharing, Dunke,... I have the latter... a 14-hour drive every Thanksgiving & Christmas. In the past, I would re-listen to the past NCAA tournaments in the GoPSUSports archive to help pass the time... this will give me some new material to listen to!
Thanks Dunke! Was a great listen while the mother law shared her foot fungus story for the 100th time. Will listen to the rest when pops starts talking about working the mines...

Funniest ironside- Byers story is Ironside getting all bent out of shape listening to Byers loudly commentating a Taylor/Nick Moore match. Byers was shouting “Taylor is turning him at will” or something and Ironside couldn’t let it go on the Iowa broadcast per their match thread.
Jeff would be any wrestling fans treasure if he was announcing for their team. And to be so blessed to call so many great matches in this Championship run by Penn State has got to make Jeff feel like someone dumped a treasure in his lap... every time he calls "He got the PIIIINNNNN!!! as he did with the VJ final or the treat he was/is about to call when DT, Ed Ruth, Quentin Wright, Jason Nolf, Bo Nichal or Z-Train stepped/steps on the mat.
I always laugh out loud when Jeff is ready to call "one" of those matches and he wryly "laughs" at the total destruction that's about to occur. I'll never stop liking Jeff's coy demeanor when he knows "wrestling artistry" is about to occur or that flash moment when instant brilliance occurs as in VJ's inside trip and JB goes completely JEFF BYERS on the call. Goosebumps... instantly. Whether being coy or instantly over joyed and wildly exuberant at a flash of Penn State wrestling brilliance... I want Jeff Byers on that call.
