Jimbo Fisher to TxA&M?

That would be a crazy hire. It would say A LOT about Jimbo’s standing in Tallahassee and the immediate future prospects of that program.

I find it hard to believe A&M is a better “win now” proposition than FSU.

Jimbo has had some unpleasant personal family issues in Tallahassee a few years ago that had nothing to do with his success (or lack of) on the football field. A decision to leave FSU probably has everything to do with him wanting to get a fresh start somewhere else (away from Tallahasse) and has very little to do with the outlook for FSU football. I am sure you can do a quick google search as I am not going to get into those issues myself.

I wasn’t aware Fisher’s son had fanconi anemia and that he divorced his wife a couple years back. I wonder whether Texas provides better care options than the Florida panhandle.

Yeah his wife was screwing around with a young guy who I think was her personal trainer. Plus he was a former Florida Gator WR.
Well, that rules out Jimbo taking the WSU Cougars job if Leach moves on. Kidding aside, I’m sure there were mutual issues that led to the situation.

A&M is not far from Houston, so undoubtedly better care can be found there.

If this happens...who goes to FSU? Tim Brewster is the only one of the staff that could get it but his stint at Minny was far from good. Mark Stoops has ties but has he done enough at Kentucky? Take on Sumlin? I think that's a very interesting opening
