I am obviously happy for Joe's legacy and the Paterno family, but I always liked Foge Fazio. This is also a headline on espn's college football page. Of course, espn's write-up is far more ugly than NBC's.
Here is one interesting tidbit from the espn article:
"Paterno was actually approached for consideration about two decades ago but shied away from the attention and wasn't sure he could make the ceremony, which usually falls on a football Saturday, organizers said."
Typical of Joe to not want the attention.
Then there's this from espn:
"The Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame's rules require permission from a nominee or a nominee's survivors before placing him or her on the ballot. Each year it inducts 10 living and two deceased athletes and coaches.
Organizers approached Paterno's family this year and they agreed. The former coach received the most votes in the deceased category, topping former Pitt coach Foge Fazio with 1,823 votes."
Joe tops Foge.

That's fine, but this is Joe's 24th win over pitt. Or, using pitt math, it is win 147 over pitt.
This particular win over Pitt for Joe Pa also awards Pitt another National Title!
I think that now makes Pitt National Champions every year but 1869.
