LJ/RV/JP etc - recruits had major impacts on the current team. Nassib, AZ and AJ are all possible round 1 draft choices. most notable, that neither Billy OB or JF have recruited as well as the former staff did around the DL.

not sure what the reason is, but this is just an observation.

Well, AJ was a 2 star and Nassib was a walk-on. Neither took a recruiting genius to get them here. I guess you could say they were both developed by their coaches. Not to knock Joe, but who developed those two?

I don't think that it is fair to compare recruiting under Joe with anything that has happened prior to sanctions being lifted. Not to knock Joe here either, but there were significant obstacles from 2012 until 2014 to say the least. So feel free to compare recruiting classes in 3 or 4 years. I think we all hope that JF becomes the best recruiter in the history of college football. I think we all also hope he is as good a coach as he is a recruiter.

The point is Joe and crew had an uncanny ability to evaluate potential in marginal high school athletes.
Nassib was a walk on but a recruited walk on. How many programs recruit nonstartetd?

AJ was a 3 Star but had to be way underrated since his only other offer was from Villanova. There are so many that develop later, and so many that never develop to the grades given by Rivals. Hill comes to mind immediately, as does Chris Baker who is starting for the Redskins. Both of them were 2 Stars, according to Rivals!
